The characters were designed and produced to be interchangeable for dynamically created animations. The visitor to the ecard site would follow steps to create their ecard: choose character A; choose character B; add message and other information regarding the sender and recipient. These "variables" would then be compiled and rendered into a downloadable animation of a chance meeting in the airport... ending with a "mouthwash for just incase" message. Since there was only one story, the characters were modified slightly different for heights and postures.
